Editing running routes

Overview

If you want to experiment with changes to a running route context, you can make the edits directly from the Fuse Integration perspective. Fuse IDE opens the routing context in the route editor. Changes take effect immediately upon saving the routing context file.

Procedure

To edit a running route:

  1. In the JMX Explorer tree, select the context containing the route(s) you want to edit.

  2. Right-click it to open the context menu, and then select Edit Routes to open the context, and all of the routes it contains, in the route editor.

  3. Edit the route(s) as described in Part I, “Application Development”.

  4. When done, save the edited route. Changes to the route take effect immediately.

[Tip]Saving to a project

Selecting File > Save As enables you to save the edited context into a project as a new context file.
